Alina Zhong is giving us a sweet treat by giving us a dive into her experiences as a Regional Director🍬🍫
Alina, our Houston-based Regional Directors, is one of our younger Regional Directors, but that doesn’t stop her from killing it during events and workshops! In her free time, you can find her with a guitar, and she loves listening to a variety of genres of music🎶 Let’s learn a little more about her experiences:
✨Why did you apply as a Regional Director?
I applied as a regional director because I firmly believe in Innoverge's mission to make STEM education more accessible for all. As someone who cares deeply about social justice and the promotion of education, I see Innoverge as a wonderful outlet to work towards those goals!
✨What was your favorite part of being a mentor?
My favorite part of being a Regional Director is witnessing the real-time impact that Innoverge's workshops have — it's lovely to see kids feel encouraged to pursue the sciences.
✨What advice do you have for future Regional Directors or anyone interested in applying?
Connecting with your local community is a great way to carry out Innoverge workshops
Thank you to ⭐Alina⭐ for all your hard work as a Regional Director and for taking the time to speak to us! To become a Regional Director and join our network of 🌎youth changemakers🌎, sign up here!
