✨ Holiday Highlight: Ume Habiba! ✨
Ume is a senior at the University of Maryland studying Information Sciences. She has interned as a software engineer at Microsoft, JP Morgan, Cisco, and Estée Lauder Companies throughout college and has spoken at major tech conferences for Google, php[tek], and We Are Developers World Congress. This past April, Ume began posting tech ed & fashion content on Instagram, which instantly gained traction and now has over 87 thousand followers. Through her social media ventures, Ume has created a brand for herself centered around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion where she has been recognized and featured by Business Insider, MSN, WayUp, and Times Square.
STEM Building Kits
The LEGO Robotics or KNEX kit allows kids to build cool structures, machines, and even robots. This is a great gift to give to people who want to learn about engineering and mechanics.
Coding-Themed Apparel

This challenge requires no coding, and you only have to create a video/pitch on an industry that would be benefited by robotic automation and why.
Reddit Games and Puzzles hackathon

Reddit is hosting a virtual hackathon from November 20th to December 17th. They are offering developers $116,000 in prizes for new games and apps.The challenge is to create a new word game, puzzle, or tabletop game using Reddit’s Developer Platform.

Mindfulness Hacks is a hackathon by the Student Code Alliance that’s open to everyone from all skill-levels. Mindfulness Hacks is a space for people who are passionate about technology and mental health.
